Cher - Take Me Home

Disco is a genre universally hated around the world. This is Cher's disco album. I'm here for it. The Goddess of Pop lays to wax nine tracks about sex that go hard in the paint. There is a combination of rock, pop, disco, and electronica. It's a wild album that is strangely sublime - Gene Simmons has a vocal appearance on one track. They were dating at the time. The cover is hilarious. Cher is dressed up like one of the Flash Gordon wing guys who fly around and fight Ming. The music is awesome. It's care-free as heck. Cher is hitting every note though. We got ballads, bangers, and rockers. It's everything I could want in my first Cher album. The last song is about her ex-husband, Gregg Allman. Toto is the band backing her. In terms of late 70's pop, this is maybe a zenith.
