Oh man, what was going on with Sparks? Great rock music here, with hilarious riffs and
synths. This album is one giant cornhole
game between Roxy Music and Supertramp.
The harmonies are pretty entertaining, like a circus on a bunch of MDMA. The songs are sassy, not pissed off though,
just sarcastic. The riffs are also not
to be counted out, stuff’s hot. One song
is called Thank God, It’s Not Christmas, which is incredible. This album is sort of cult, having been a
favorite of the Sex Pistols, Kurt Cobain, Bjork, and the Smiths. It perfectly sums up and satirizes the fad of
art rock in the mid-seventies. It sounds
incredibly American despite attempting to poorly imitate Bowie, which is super
funny to me. The whole album puts a
smile on my face, because it’s so well done and every song is a treat. That sounds really cheesy, but so is this
music.
