Minutemen - Post-Mersh Vol 3

The legend of the Minutemen has been told time and time again.  A scrappy band from San Pedro made some of the most bitchin tunes the world had ever seen. D Boon, Mike Watt, and George Hurley taught themselves their instruments in a DIY spirit that was economical, honest, and inventive. Their quick songs are jam packed with politics, poetry, sketches, experimentation, and whipping riffs - compacted in bursts of expression. Post-Mersh Vol 3 compiles five of the earliest EP and singles by the Minutemen. Paranoid Time (the band's first ever release), Bean-Spill (a killer EP that's super funny), Tour-Spiel (a collection of awesome covers), Joy (a crazy single), and The Politics of Time (a hodge-podge of live and demo tracks). In total, 46 classic tracks.  A sign of what the Minutemen would become - and could have become. Even in their early years, they perfected  playing furious jazz with heart and introspective perspectives.
